Hey all. If you haven't had a chance to check out my new stock photos, here's a sneak peek. Notice a theme? That's right, it's spring in Australia!
While many of you lovely deviants in the northern hemisphere
are packing away the summer wardrobe and searching for your winter woolies, in the land down under we are cracking out the shorts, mowing the lawn and scooping leaves out of the pool, ready for the scorching temperatures of summer. Some of us are sandbagging our homes to hold flash floods at bay, but thankfully my hometown has escaped the worst of the extreme weather. So if you're me, you're out with the camera, dodging rainstorms and stalking the best of spring's wonders to shoot.
Yesterday I stumbled upon a tiny nest built in a rosebush. After a slow-motion fight with the thorns, I was able to get an eyeball over the rim and beheld a minute, black-and-white speckled egg. A baby willy-wagtail in the making. Good news, considering this particular brand of bird is furiously territorial and will kick up a din when danger looms. That means, if you hear a wagtail going nuts, watch your step; there's a snake on the move.
And no, I don't have any snake photos. Not yet
How's the weather in your hometown?
